영어(미국) 관련 질문

I've heard "any" can't be placed prior to "not".

For example, the sentence "Anyone can't do such a thing." is grammatically incorrect.

Is that right? Is the sentence above unnatural? I don't get it...

So this is very tricky topic.
your sentence to me seems fine if the meaning is no one can do such a thing.

what I think the rule you heard is referring to the following:
you can say, "There are not any employees"

But it is incorrect to say, "There are any not employees".

I hope this is somewhat helpful.

double negatives are hard even for natives speakers.
