[formal polite]
앉으십시오.
(you are saying to your boss. you are saying to the mr.president. a bodyguard is saying to his client.)

[formal impolite]
앉아라.
(a king is saying to his servant.)

앉거라.
(a father is saying to his son.)

[casual polite]
앉아요.
앉으세요. (honorific)
앉으셔요. (honorific)
(you are saying to your colleague. (not close friend yet))

[casual impolite]
앉아.
(you are saying to your very close friend.)

Techincally, if you speak inappropriately, it might be very, very rude but people will understand your mistake because you are not a native speaker.

앉다 (infinitive , no tense, no formality , no politeness)

I didn't mention about declarative/interrogative forms.
